These devices can be self-installed and activated in seconds, though CORPHONE customer support is available at no charge to assist when needed.
CORPHONE sends all incoming and outgoing calls over a high speed Internet connection (instead of the traditional public telephone networks) through a Broadband Phone Adapter. There are no extra numbers to dial, no special instructions to follow and no talking through your computer. Just pick up your phone, listen for the dial tone and dial any regular phone number. What are the technical requirements for connecting a CORPHONE?
High Speed Internet, normally Cable or DSL; the analogue telephone device of your preference, it can also be wireless and we suggest a UPS, or protector of voltage to regulate the voltage and to protect your equipment.
Do I need a router?
No. However, if you need to connect more than one computer to your network, apart from the CORPHONE, you will need to have a router.
Can I use dial up Internet connection to use the CORPHONE service?
Even though it could work, it is highly recommended that you use a broadband connection in order to guarantee a high quality communication. Further more, since the broadband service (high speed internet) is always connected to the internet, the same way will your CORPHONE be, always available so you can make and receive calls anytime. This does not happen with dial up connection since it is a temporary connection to the internet.
What are the minimum broadband connection requirements in order to connect a CORPHONE?
Optimal results with Internet are generally those that provide a capacity of 128kb/s on upload and 256kb/s of download, which is typically provided by DSL and Cable.
CORPHONE could work with up to 64kb/s in each direction, however it is not recommended, because the quality of the call could not be satisfactory. Another important factor that affects the capacity of the broadband is the amount of computers connected to the same network.
Which service is best to use? DSL or cable?
Both services work well, however, cable offers the fastest speed and it is often easier to configure. None of them represent a huge difference in the quality of our service. If you still do not have broadband or high speed Internet access, but are considering getting it soon, check the options and choose the best provider there is in your area.
Will my CORPHONE service interfere with my Cable or DSL connection?
Our service uses very little of your broadband and will not interfere with your ability to access and use internet. You can make and receive calls whenever, even if your computer is on and you are surfing the web or if it is completely off.
Will the monthly fee I pay to my Internet provider increase if I get a CORPHONE?
No. The access to high-speed Internet (DSL or Cable) has enough capacity to manage information on the web, the reason why your CORPHONE will not interfere and your Internet provider should not charge you extra, because it is the same connection.
Is it necessary to have a static IP to use a CORPHONE?

Do I have to use a specific telephone device for the CORPHONE?
No. Any telephone device will do, as long as it is analogue. It can even be a wireless device.

In order to install the CORPHONE service, do I have to assign a specific phone line at home or in my office?
No. Your regular or traditional phone line is totally independent from the one we provide for CORPHONE. CORPHONE does not interfere with it, for we use the high speed Internet to connect (DSL or Cable) not your land phone line.
Does the computer need to be on all the time in order to use CORPHONE?
No. All you have to have on is the Internet MODEM in order to use your CORPHONE. If you use a wireless telephone device, make sure it is connected to the power source.
Can I try your service for a few days and then make a decision on whether I want the service or not?
We do have a trial period to test the CORPHONE service, for no longer than 30 days and then you can decide if you want to continue with us or not. Once our clients have the CORPHONE service, they have continued using it in a 99.9%. Anyhow, we suggest that you subscribe to our service, living us all information requested, once you are sure that the minimum Basic technical requirements for the services are covered.
